England's preparations for the World Cup have been disrupted after $18,000 worth of property was stolen from a vehicle transporting equipment. The theft occurred while the team was moving from their pre-tournament camp in Florida to Kansas City. Two men, Mustafa Salik and Erfan Kamal, have been charged with receiving stolen property in connection with the incident. Fortunately, the Football Association has confirmed that nothing essential for their upcoming match against Croatia has been lost. Among the stolen items were four pairs of football boots, a football, goalkeeper gloves, and three signed jerseys valued at $15,000. Most of the stolen items have reportedly been recovered. Defender Dan Burn commented on the situation, noting that the team was not overly concerned and that it had not disrupted their preparations. The local prosecutor emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of World Cup visitors, including teams like England. This incident highlights the challenges teams face while competing internationally, but England remains focused on their opening match.
